Billy "Bill" D. Burnett, age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 31, 2017. A native of Rutherford County he was preceded in death by his parents, Lillard and Mattie Davis Burnett; siblings, Goldia Johnson and her husband Walter, Lillard Burnett Jr, and Hazel Burnett; and nephew, David Johnson.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Mr. Burnett is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Jane Duke Burnett; daughter, Cheah Hibdon and her husband Dustin; son, Brill Burnett and his wife Christi; grandchildren, Ashlie, Laken, Lexi, Madi, Olivia, Brooklynn, Baylor, Brielle, William; nephews, Walter Johnson III, and Jarrod Duke; and nieces, Celeste Schroeder and Jessica Hamby.

Mr. Burnett was a member of Lascassas Church of Christ and was a retired Supervisor with Paramount Packaging. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
