Billy L. Burton, age 78, of Smyrna, TN. died Monday, January 24, 2011 at his home. A native of Silver Point, TN. he was the son of the late Walter Whitson and Hazel Jacobs Burton. He is also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Tony Long will officiate. Mr. Burton is survived by his loving wife, Michiko Iwata Burton; three sons and two daughters in law, Billy (Donna) Burton, Andy (Teresa) Burton and Tommy Burton all of Smyrna; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Terry Burton and two sisters, Jean Kelly and Keeble Helm. Mr. Burton proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a retired meat butcher. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until the time of the service Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 893-5151
