Billy Barrett, age 70 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday November 29, 2017. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Carlene Barrett; brothers, Thomas and Kenny Johnson, and grandson, Nicholas Barrett. Mr. Barrett was member of the Baptist Church and retired Superintendent with Murfreesboro Water Department.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lois Gilley Barrett; children, Billy Barrett and wife Michelle of California, Matthew Barrett and Chrissy of Texas, Jennifer Clunie and husband Graeme of Murfreesboro, Charlie Edwards and wife Jurairat of Murfreesboro; James Barrett and wife Nadine of Texas, Kevin Goddard and wife Martina of Nashville; grandchildren; Jonathan, Jordan, Gavan, Emma, Christian; brother, Bobby Johnson and wife Debbie of Murfreesboro; sisters, Marilyn Armstead and husband Joe of Christiana, Doris Bess and Paul of Christiana, Lisa Farrar and husband Gary of Bell Buckle.

Funeral service will be 11AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jeremy Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3PM to 7PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. www.woodfinchapel.com
