Billy C. Dunaway age 76 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Sunday December 18, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Mack and Audrey Yost Dunaway. Mr. Dunaway was married to Lodus Richardson Dunaway who died in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse and Buford Dunaway and by a sister Sheila Corley. Mr. Dunaway is survived by his sons, Jimmy M. McCrary of Manchester, TN, David M. Dunaway, and Ricky C. Dunaway both of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Rhonda G. Smotherman of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Roberta Haynes of Smyrna, TN, Doris Walton of Murfreesboro, TN, and Patsy Garrison of Columbia, TX; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro, with Brother Nickey Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Neal Hill, John David Todd, Brian Corley, Wade, John, and James Dunaway serving as pallbearers. Carl Dunaway will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Mr. Dunaway was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ and a farmer. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at WOODFIN FUNERAL CHAPEL, MURFREESBORO. 893-5151.
