Billie Edward Underhill age 83 of Murfreesboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday October 12, 2015. A native of Johnson City, Tennessee he was the son of the late Percy and Edith Pierce Underhill. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Marion Walden Underhill, and his brother, Reverend James Underhill. Mr. Underhill is survived by his children; Don Underhill, Mark Underhill and his wife Valerie all of North Carolina, Debbie Robbins and her husband Phil of Arizona, Jim Underhill and his wife Deborah of Georgia, Michael Underhill and his wife Melanie of Nashville, and Bruce Underhill and his wife Judy of Missouri. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The family would like to thank Larry and Cindy Young for their kind, loving compassionate care. Mr. Underhill was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Central High School and served in the Army and Navy for a combined of 26 years of service. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War Veteran. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens will full military service.
