Obituary

BILLIE JEAN CLEMENT, of Murfreesboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 24, 2011. She is reunited with her parents and great granddaughter, Clarie Nicole King. Born in Columbia County, Arkansas on February 12, 1936, Billie was the only child of Kenneth and Mavolee Jones. She trusted Christ as a child and was very active in the Village Baptist Church (Arkansas). She played the piano at church until graduating from Village High School in 1953. Upon graduation she was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and moved to Washington D.C. While working there she met and married Don Clement. Don was in the Air Force and their travels included being stationed in England. They settled in Middle Tennessee in 1958. In 1971 she graduated from MTSU and worked at the Murfreesboro Social Security Office until her retirement in 2004. Billie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful friend. She will be dearly missed by Don, her loving husband of 57 years; Daughter: Donna King and her husband, Jeff, of Palatka, Florida; Son: Joey Clement and his wife, Serene, of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren: Chandler King of Nashville; Marcia Trull and her husband, John, of Dorre, New Hampshire; Rachel Clement and her fianc Nathan Reed, of Watertown, Wisconsin; Joe Clement and Hannah Clement of Murfreesboro; and two great-grandsons, William and Samuel King and their mother, Becky. For over 35 years she was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church. She was a prayer warrior, long time student of the Bible, and supported her grandchildren in all their activities at Franklin Road Christian School. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. " 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Dr. Mike Norris, of Franklin Road Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Franklin Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN or Rodeheaver Boys Ranch in Palatka, Florida.
