William "Bill" Davis, age 76, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on August 7, 2021. He was born November 19, 1944, in Raleigh, NC to Hugh Davis and Eloise White Johnson.

Bill loved the beach and golfing, having lived the past 15 years in beautiful St Simons Island, Ga. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating and being at the beach. He could frequently be found by the grill or in the kitchen cooking for his family. He served in the Virginia National Guard and had a very strong love for his country. He made sure that we all saw the world a little better by owning and operating an optical store in Danville, Va for more than 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 33 years, Alice. He is survived by his children; William "Will" (Whitney), Andrew "Drew" (Kaitlin), and Ashley; sister Caroline Smith (Smitty); brother Hugh "Buck" Davis (Cindy); granddaughter Hayden; and niece and nephew Abigail and Bobby.
