Bettye Thomson, age 74, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Coleman Davis; and husband, Bob Thomson.

She is survived by her son, Rob Thomson and his wife Bethany; grandchildren, Henry, Davis, Lillian, Anderson, and Gray Thomson; and numerous family and friends.

Mrs. Thomson was a lifelong native of Smyrna, Tennessee. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the Peabody College of Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She was a faithful servant of First Baptist Church in Smyrna and a Charter Member of Parkway Baptist Church. Mrs. Thomson taught for 17 years in Metro Nashville Schools. After her husband passed, she served as an Educational Assistant for 27 years at David Youree Elementary in Smyrna, TN. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church, with Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM. Dr. Shelby Hazzard will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
