Betty L. Walker, age 97 of Smyrna, TN, died Tuesday June 11, 2013. A native of Medina, TN, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Hardy West. Mrs. Walker was also preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Walker who died in 1993. Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Ray Morris of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Sheree Bingham and her husband Boyd of Robertsdale, AL; Kerry Morris and his wife Jill of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Lyndsay Allison, Rachel Watkins and her husband Joseph, Austin Morris and his wife Kadi, and Tyler Morris; great-great-grandchildren, Chase and Brady Allison. Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Darrel Whaley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Hopewell Cemetery in Medina, TN with Boyd Bingham, Benny Sumrall, Jack Statham, Kerry Morris, Joseph Watkins, and Austin Morris serving as pallbearers.
