BETTY RIVERS RAFFIELD, age 85 a resident of Murfreesboro for 50 plus years passed away Wednesday March 31, 2010. She was a native of Glenwood, GA and the daughter of the late, Howard D. and Lillie Chastain Rivers. Mrs. Raffield was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Zenus W. Raffield who passed away in 2000. Mrs. Raffield was a member of First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School, and a graduate of A.B. School of Commerce in Macon GA. She was a former member of The Garden Lovers Club, and The Womans Club. She is survived by her son, J. Dennis Raffield and his wife Ginger; grandsons, Jeffrey Raffield and his wife Heather, Jonathan Raffield, Jamie and Steven Heape; great grandson, Jack Thomas J.T. Raffield. Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Raffield to First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, or The Arthritis Foundation. Special heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of H wing at Community Care of Rutherford County. Graveside service will be 1:00PM Monday at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Mark Gregory officiating, family and friends will sever as pallbearers.
