Betty Jane Mullican, age 81, of LaVergne passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. She was a native of Mocksville, NC and the daughter of the late Bennie and Ester Graves Long. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Michael "Mickey" Mullican. Graveside service 1:00pm Wednesday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN. She is survived by her husband, Gere Mullican, daughters, Lyn Brown of Smyrna, Anita Boddington of Montana, sisters, Elsie Summers, Ozell Hinkle, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mullican was a retired Department of Transportation Clerk with the State of Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
