Betty Laverne Haraway Mings, age 68 of Smyrna, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. She was a native Anderson, AL and the daughter of the late Luther Wesley and Gertie Mae Bedingfield Haraway.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Darrell Ward will officiate. Graveside service will be 3:00pm Tuesday in the Harvey Cemetery, Rogersville, AL.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Ellis and his wife Stephanie of Smyrna, Kevin Ellis and his wife Michele Bryant of Murfreesboro, Christopher Lee Mings and his father Barney Mings of Smyrna, sister, Pat Vinson and her husband Doyle of Murfreesboro, brothers, Bobby Haraway and his wife Donna of Anderson, AL, Tommy Haraway and his wife Tricia, grandchildren, Abbey and Austin Ellis, John and Amberly Corter, Eric and Laura Neal, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.

Ms. Mings was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and retired from the accounting department at Ingram Books.

Pall bearers will be Wesley Haraway, Brett Drinkard, Blake Haraway, Richie Haraway, Stanley Vinson, Steve Vinson, Jamie Cornelius and Jeffrey Cornelius.
