Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jean Sims Wilson, age 87, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Friday, May 8, 2015. She was born in Cuba, Kentucky to the late Jesse Adlai and Gladys Darnell Sims. Mrs. Wilson was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She was a beautician with a salon in her home in Washington, IL for many years. Mrs. Wilson and her husband retired to Murray, KY and eventually Murfreesboro. For the past twenty years, she and her husband have attended Salem Creek Church of Christ formerly known as Minerva Drive Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of 70 years, Louis Wilson; four children, Ladonna Brown of Brentwood, Marilyn R. Hafley of Murfreesboro, Wendell Wilson and his wife Carol of Murfreesboro, and Gina L. Graves and her husband Jeff of Murfreesboro; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was well loved and will be sorely missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. Betty was well known for her love of music. We know that she is singing those beloved hymns with the angels in heaven now. Visitation with the family will be Monday, May 11, 2015 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ron Harper will officiate. Burial will take place following the funeral at Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro, TN. If desired, memorial donations may be made to World Bible School, 16110 Anderson Mill Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 or (512) 345-8190 in memory of Mrs. Wilson.
