Betty Joy Dinkins Floyd age 82 of Murfreesboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday January 4, 2014. A native of Henry County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Clifford and Bertha Owen Dinkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband; John Wesley Floyd, and her siblings; two brothers and eleven sisters. Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Paul Norwood and her son David Floyd officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Ms. Floyd is survived by her children; daughters Cindy Skinner and her husband Jim of OH., Teresa Floyd of KY., Delores Wallace and her husband Edward of McKenzie, sons; J. David Floyd and his wife Kathryn of Murfreesboro, Kenneth Floyd of Murfreesboro William Shipp and his wife Vera of McKenzie, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Ms. Floyd was a member of Walter Hill Church of Christ. Visitation will be 2:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
