BETTY APPLEBY ADAMS, age 76, of Smyrna, TN died August 17, 2009. She was a native of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Adams, her parents; Ray and Ruth Pinson Appleby and her brother Doris Appleby. She was a devoted mother. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Brother Carl Scarlett officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. She is survived by her two daughters and her sons in law; Wanda and David Baker of Mt. Juliet and Vickie and Bucky Buchanan of Tullahoma, three grandchildren; Lance Harrington of Mt. Juliet, Brian Gambill of Smyrna and Tonia McGowan of Murfreesboro, two great grandchildren and one sister Donna Kirkland of Smyrna. Mrs. Adams was a demo clerk with Sams Club Warehouse and a member of Miracle Baptist Church for over 40 years. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
