Bettie Holder, age 66, of Franklin, TN, died Sunday, August 27, 2017. A native of Murfreesboro, TN she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ross and Dorothy Handley Holder; brother, Ron Holder; and niece Sarah Denny .

She is survived by her brothers, Michael Holder and his wife Hae Suk of Murfreesboro and Randall Holder and his husband, Brent Smith of Nashville; one niece, Jeanie Denny; and one grandniece, Gabrielle Smotherman.

Bettie was a retired Supervisor with the State of Tennessee. She enjoyed the beach and reading.

A Celebration of Life of one courageous woman will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin an hour before at 1:00 p.m.

Memorials in memory of Bettie may be made to the American Diabietes Association or to the American Heart Association.
