BESSIE LEE SANFORD SAUPE age 67 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday May 5, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Ruby Cates Sanford. Mrs. Saupe is survived by her husband of 47 years William Saupe, her daughter Jodi (Matt) Vehr of Murfreesboro, sons Hank (Theresa) Saupe, Nick Saupe all of Murfreesboro, and her six grandchildren Katie, Jake, Rachael Vehr, Luke, John and Jack Saupe. Mrs. Saupe was a 1961 Graduate of Kittrell High School, and was a retired teacher, teaching at Rockvale Elementary, Smyrna West, Kittrell, and David Youree Elementary. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. Monday with Funeral Mass following at 4:30 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 1603 North Tennessee Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate. Burial to follow in Cateston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Rose Library and to Rockvale Elementary School Library.
