Bessie Robertson, age 99, of Murfreesboro, died May 6, 2014. Funeral services will be Friday, May 9th at 1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Mark Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the 1pm service on Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Robertson was born July 1, 1914, in Centertown, TN. She lived and worked in Nashville, for many years at Castner Knott. She and her husband, B.L. Robertson retired in Murfreesboro in 1991 to be nearer their family. She is survived by her son, Garland and his wife Joyce Evans Robertson; four grandchildren, Mona and her husband, John Lee; Robin and his wife, Kathy Shamblin Robertson; Ronald and his wife, Linda Stephenson Robertson; and Rita and her husband, Steve Couch; and by her granddaughter Rebecca's husband, Andrew Nelson. She has 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, B.L. Robertson, her sister, Naomi West, and her granddaughter, Rebecca Robertson. Mrs. Robertson was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a retired employee of Castner Knott. The family would like to thank Mrs. Robertson's special friend and caregiver , Lillie Boykin. Pallbearers will be Andrew Nelson, Bill Bob West, and her great grandsons, Jack Lee, Kyle Robertson, Brian Robertson, Paul Robertson,, and Robert Nelson.
