Bertha M. Mason, age 72, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2016. A native of Rutherford County, TN, she was preceded in death by her father, Aud Johnson; husband, F. M. Mason; and two children, Charles Britt Mason and Demetria Dawn Prater.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her mother, Helen Lewis Johnson; children, Scott Mason; Melinda Cooper; and Deborah Ring all of Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Mason enjoyed walking, the outdoors and also loved to read. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

A graveside service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. Flora D. Blackman will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
