Berta P. Stevens, age 86, mother of three passed away in the morning hours of June 5, 2022.  She peacefully passed away surrounded by her family.

Berta was born 1935 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Los Angeles, California.  Berta completed all of her education in California including her Masters from Laverne University where like her mother she became a teacher.  She worked as a Theater program director and loved to travel the world.  After retiring, she spent a lot of time volunteering at her Temple, visits to musical theater performances, trips to the movies, and was a known expert in bargain shopping sprees.

Berta was preceded in death by her one sibling brother Paul Morse in 1992, her parents Alexander (Al) Morse in 2002 and Celia Salkoff in 1982.  We have missed them all very much.

We know we can't have you forever as it comes with great sadness to say goodbye although, we know you're at peace now and in a better place.

Berta is survived by one son and two daughters, David B. Chenoweth (wife Alison  K.), Rachel Morse and Sandra M. Fortner (husband Ken).  She was also blessed with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

An intimate service is planned, although the information is to come at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family believes Berta would have encouraged all who knew and loved her to take the trip, buy the tickets, and enjoy the show.
