Mrs. Bernice Shinn, age 89, of Smyrna, TN passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Liberty, WV to the late Edgar F. and Dollie Riffee Fisher. Mrs. Shinn was a sales associate for Castner Knott and a member of Trinity Christian Church.

Mrs. Shinn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Shinn; daughters, Sandi Laney and her husband Randy of Kannapolis, NC and Kathy Jones and her husband Steve of Hermitage, TN; grandchildren, Robert Phillips and his wife Shawna and Tosha Phillips and her significant other Ben Jones; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Hayden, and Brooklyn; and brother Roy Fisher of Dunbar, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Shinn.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
