Bernice Scott Holden, age 82 died Tuesday June 16, 2015. Mrs. Holden was a native of Santa Fe community of Maury County, and was the daughter of the late, Oakley and Jessie Slover Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Holden who died in 2005. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bob Tuttle and Bro. Darryl Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in the Gordon Holden Cemetery. Mrs. Holden is survived by two daughters, Kim Holden, and Cindy Ayers, and husband Sam all of Christiana; two grandsons, Holden and Scott Ayers of Christiana; four sisters, Lucy Johnson of Nashville, Imogene Young of Antioch, Juanita Mong of Pennsylvania, and Carolyn King of Nashville; brother, Bobby Floyd Kelley of Columbia. Mrs. Holden was a member of Old Leb United Methodist Church. She was a farmer and retired payroll administrator with Eaton Corporation, Shelbyville. Pallbearers will be Frank Heaton, Michael Paul Heaton, Holden Ayers, Scott Ayers, Mickey Plaxco, Chip King, and Junior Davis. Memorials may be made to Gordon Holden Cemetery Fund, or St. Jude's Hospital in memory of Mrs. Holden. Visitation Thursday 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
