Bennie Mack McCoy, Sr., age 86 passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016. He was a native of Arrington, TN and the son of the late Charlie and Beulah Robinson McCoy. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Charlie, Andrew, Woodrow and Howard McCoy, Beulah Mae Roland, Maggie Davenport and Lillie Mae McCoy.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Dan Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Crabtree McCoy, son, Bennie Mack McCoy, Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Smyrna, daughter, Tammy McCoy Mihm of Rockvale, grandchildren, Brandon (Nikki) McCoy, Taylor McCoy, Molly Mihm, great grandson, Bryce McCoy and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. McCoy was a US Army veteran and retired from Lane Cedar Company after 51 years, then he was employed by the Tennessean Newspaper for 16 years before retirement.

Pallbearers will be Brandon McCoy, Taylor McCoy, Chris Davenport, Brent Messick, Wayne Hill and Benny Davenport.
