BENJAMIN AUSTIN CONNER age 83 of Fort Myers, FL and Murfreesboro, TN died Thursday May 8, 2008 in Fort Myers. A native of Obion County Tennessee, he was the son of the late Isham Shepard and Minnie Alice Austin Conner. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Monday May 19, 2008 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carl Scarlett officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Survived by daughter, Barbara Jean Conner of Fort Myers, FL and son and daughter in law, David Lawrence and Mary Anne Conner of Murfreesboro, TN. Grandchildren, Leigh Anne, David Austin, Ethan Davis, and Shelby Anne Conner. Mr. Conner was a member of the Baptist Church, a U.S veteran having served in the Merchant Marines and Naval Reserve and was a mechanical engineer. He was married to the late Eileen Denning Conner who died in 2005. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
