William "Ben" Williams, Sr. age 85 of Goodlettsville, formerly of Christiana, died Thursday at his home following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Christiana and a son of the late Eustace and Evalyn Miller Williams. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eustace Miller Williams, Ewing "Buddy" Williams, and Mack Williams.

Survivors include his son, Ben Williams, Jr. and his wife Jane of West Chester, Ohio; two grandsons, Brandon Williams and his wife Mandy of Dublin, Ohio and Richard Williams of Dayton, Ohio; his caregiver and companion, Shirley Thurman of Goodlettsville.

Mr. Williams was a devout Christian who served in the Tennessee Army National Guard during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Christiana High School and MTSU. He later retired from General Electric after 33 years of service.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Miller Cemetery, Christiana.
