BEN L. RAYMER age 65 of Smyrna, TN died Wednesday September 8, 2010 at his home. A native of Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Zada Catherine Henley Raymer, Sr. Mr. Raymer is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat Henderson Raymer; daughters and sons in law, Sherrie and John Smith of Smyrna, TN, Debbie and Joey Jacobs of Murfreesboro, TN, Tracie Raymer and Roger Sensing of Pleasant Shade, TN, and Cathy and Paul Franklin of Smyrna, TN; brothers, Walter Lee Raymer, Jr. of Russellville, KY, Mark Raymer and Keith Raymer both of Kentucky; sisters, Margie Henley and Marcella Noren both of Greenbrier, TN, Betty Cole of Keansburg, New Jersey, Connie Salisbury and Joyce Raymer both of Nashville, TN and Iris Skinner of Memphis, TN; mother in law, Ethel Henderson of Smyrna, TN; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel Murfreesboro, with Rev. Dan Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Raymer was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, a US Vietnam army veteran, and a retired Lineman with TVA. Pallbearers will be John Smith, Jr., Christopher Raymer, Matthew Noble, Bobby Price, Ryan McKee, and Robby Henderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Seth Parks. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund or Caris Hospice in memory of Mr. Raymer.
