BARRY LEE COURTNEY, age 68 of Murfreesboro died April 17, 2009. He was a native of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Glenn and Marie Mutz Courtney. He graduated from MTSU and worked for Chromalox as an Engineering Manager. His career with Chromalox started in Pennsylvania, with moves to Murfreesboro and Utah. He retired in 2006 and returned to Murfreesboro in 2007. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Clara Courtney; children, Cheryl Courtney (Todd) Panther of Nashville, Lee David (Susan) Courtney of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Ryan, Gavin, and Trevor Dillinger, Greyson, Caden, and Fynn Courtney, Courtney and Rachel Panther; sister, Linda (William) Schaefer of Florida, Mother-in-Law Ethel Weiss of Murfreesboro. A private graveside service will be held on Monday at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
