Barbara Morgan Wendell, age 76, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. A native of Candler, NC she was preceded in death by her loving husband and caregiver, Paul Brown Wendell  ; parents, Dedrick and Crystal Medford Morgan; two sisters, Dorothy Roberson and Carolyn Sanders; and brother, Don Morgan.

Mrs. Wendell is survived by her two daughters, Emily Wendell and her companion, Jeff Clark of Coronado, CA and Paula Wendell Reed and her husband, Scott of Golden, CO; and two grandchildren, Chase Wendell Reed and Carolyn Saylor Reed both of Golden, CO.

Mrs. Wendell was a retired English Teacher with the Buncombe County School System in North Carolina. She received her bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University. Mrs. Wendell enjoyed reading and animals. She cherished mountains and loved her home in North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Mrs. Wendell can be made to the Sunnington Assisted Living Facility in Murfreesboro, TN.
