Barbara Elaine Oxford Hayes , age 80 of Brentwood, TN formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Friday February 24, 2017. A native of Portsmouth, NH, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Evelyn Harris Oxford. Mrs. Hayes was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thomas Hayes, Jr.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by her sons, Timothy P. Hayes and his wife Esther of Murfreesboro, TN and David James Hayes and his wife Melissa of Franklin, TN; daughter, Susan Hayes Easterday and her husband Brendan of Brentwood, TN; brothers, Bill Oxford of Pasadena, CA and Charles "Chuck" Oxford of Portsmouth, NH; grandchildren, Ashley Hayes-Beaty, Brooke and Molly Hayes, Capri and Evan Easterday; also survived by Esther's children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Franklin Road Baptist Church, 3148 Franklin Road Murfreesboro, TN 37128. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Franklin Road Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Norris officiating. Burial will follow in the Bill Rice Ranch Memorial Gardens with David and Tim Hayes, Brendan Easterday, Gary Seise, Bill and Shawn Oxford serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Franklin Road Baptist Church, and a retired Office Administrator.
