BARBARA ANN LOFTON, age 68 of Smyrna died March 12, 2011 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is a native of East St. Louis, IL and was the daughter of the late Donald and Dolores Elkins McCracken. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mike Browning will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Ms. Lofton is survived by her life partner Elaine Mitchell of Smyrna; four sons Carlos (Sonja) Bosch of Marion, AR; Mark (Lisa) Laderman of Martin, TN; Brian Laderman of Martin, TN; and Tim (Anne Marie) Laderman of Rexburg, ID; one daughter Amy (Cam) Smalley of Murfreesboro; brother Kevin Goree of Troy, TN; sisters Donna Alexander of Price, UT; Gloria Collins of Beach Grove, TN; six grandchildren Alan, Mercedes, Michael, Amanda, Karlie and Tyson Laderman. She was preceded in death by a brother Wayne McCracken and a sister Susan Wilson. Ms. Lofton was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and was retired from Middle Tennessee State University. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, The Hope Clinic of Murfreesboro, or the Charity of your choice. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 AM " 8:00 PM at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
