Barbara Jones Layhew, age 72 of Milton, TN, died Friday September 27, 2013. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Harding and Mary Whitworth Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene Layhew, Sr. who died in 2008, and a great grandson, Colton Hirlston. Mrs. Layhew, is survived by sons; Donald Gene Layhew, II, and Sarah of Christiana, TN, Alfred Jeffrey Layhew, and Sandy of Hamilton, TX, and Robert Joseph Layhew, and Misty of Norene, TN; daughters, Laurie Uselton, and Tommy of Murfreesboro, TN, and Angela Parchment, and Steve of Richmond, KY; brother, Robert W. Jones, and Lola of Rockvale, TN; grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, Jessica, and Brittany Layhew, Beth Uselton, Emily Davis, Zoey, Levi, Kaylee, Emma, and Landry Layhew, Taylor and Ben Parchment; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Hunter Layhew, Hunter Lane, Jonathan Mahon, Makenzie Sills, and Hailey Layhew. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother David West officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Layhew was a member of the Church of Christ at Milton. She was a retired RN. Visitation will be from 4:00 Pm to 8:00 PM Monday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
