BARBARA J. KLAUS, daughter of the late Gratten G. and Verna B. Jennings, passed from this life into eternal glory on Sunday, May 23, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Dr. Robert A. Klaus, in 1999. Mrs. Klaus was born in St. Elmo, Illinois. She attended Southern Illinois University and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Klaus was a resident of Murfreesboro for over fifty years, serving as church organist and founding member of Grace Lutheran Church in Murfreesboro, past president of the Rutherford Co. Hospital Auxiliary, and as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth K. and John Davis, of Madison, AL; son and daughter-in-law, James Klaus and Lisa Stockdale-Klaus, of Murfreesboro, and four grandchildren: Jennifer Davis, and Colin, Karl, and Lydia Klaus, and was preceded in death by a granddaughter. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl Wenck officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
