Barbara Ann Garner, age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2015. A native and long-time resident of Dresden, TN she was preceded in death by her parents, William Frank Mangum and Ruth Myrick Mangum Woods. Mrs. Garner was also preceded in death by her husband, Phil L. Garner; sons, Dane Myrick Garner and Paul Brady Garner; brother, Bill Mangum; sister, Katie Sanders; and step-brother, Charles "Coochie" Woods. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Experience Community Church. Mrs. Garner is survived by her sons, Brett Garner and his wife Tammy of Murfreesboro, TN and Gary Glen Garner of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Garner was a deeply committed Christian and loved her family very much. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Dresden, TN or to the Experience Community Church in Murfreesboro, TN in memory of Mrs. Garner.
