BARBARA HERROD BROWN age 76 of Readyville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday August 4, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances Woodruff Herrod Jr. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Bud Mitchell, Ben Cates and James Lively officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Brown is survived by her son Don Alan Brown of Readyville, her 2 Grandchildren Harley Don and Haley Idann Brown, her sister Marie Ratley of Murfreesboro, and the mother of Harley and Haley, Brenda Brown of Murfreesboro. She is preceded in death by her husband Don Brown, and a sister Ella Jo Pope. Mrs. Brown was a member of Sharpesville Church of Christ , and was retired as Vice President of Commerce Union and First City Bank. She was a 1953 graduate of Kittrell High School.
