Arthur Maxwell Upchurch, age 82, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019. He was a native of Gainesboro, TN and the son of the late Charles and Ruby Scantland Upchurch. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Arthur Upchurch and siblings, Ray Upchurch, Wayne Upchurch, Fred Upchurch, Charles Upchurch, Lodus Upchurch and Olene Anderson.

Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jamie Byrom, Nickey Nichols and Tommy Underwood will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Upchurch, and son, Randall Upchurch and his wife Cynthia of Murfreesboro, sisters, Betty Haynes of Murfreesboro, Mildred Carlile of Dayton, OH and Joyce Leonard of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Upchurch was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ and a custodian at Reeves Rogers Elementary School for 21 years before his retirement.

Pallbearers will be Randy Leonard, Ricky Leonard, Gary Leonard, Mark Leonard, Kenneth Pruitt and Tommy Underwood, Jr.
