Arthur X. Paradis, age 87 of Murfreesboro died Monday August 24, 2015. Mr. Paradis was a retired Master Sgt. with the United States Air Force. During his twenty plus years with the Air Force Mr. Paradis flew into combat regions during the Vietnam War as part of low flying top secret aerial photographer reconnaissance team. He was fluent in French and was Airborne Interpreter. Mr. Paradis was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, based on his devotion to duty, professional competence and aerial skills. Mr. Paradis was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years, Theresa Paradis who died in 2005. He is survived by their children, Gloria Goslee and husband Richard Dill of Arizona, Claudette Jones of Florida, Stella Gardner and husband Robert of Hendersonville, Denis Paradis of Smyrna. Mr. Paradis is also survived by his present wife; Gladys Andersen Paradis; daughter, Linell and her daughters Shannon and Shay Linell of Murfreesboro; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of many family and friends. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 11:00AM Friday at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
