Arthur John Lawson, age 51, of Beechgrove, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015. A native of Schenectady, NY, he is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Mangan Lawson. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 2:30pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 1601 North Tennessee Boulevard, Murfreesboro, TN, with Father Nicholas Allen officiating. Mr. Lawson is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carla Lawson, his children, sons, Andrew Lawson, Ryan Lawson, daughter, Lilah Lawson, father and stepmother, Arthur and Carolyn Lawson of Bell Buckle, sister, Sharon Grimshaw and her husband Nick of Georgetown, MA, brothers, James Lawson and his wife Christa of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Glenn Lawson and his wife Tammy of Leesburg, VA. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Rahamut and Ione Mohammed of Humble, TX, sisters-in-law, Yasmin Mohammed of Nashville, TN, Alicia Mohammed of Humble, TX, brother- in- law, Shamir Mohammed and his wife Shawna of Houston, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lawson was a U.S. Army Combat Veteran, employed with Bridgestone Tire Corporation in LaVergne, TN. He was an avid cattle farmer and devoted animal lover. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rosary being at 7:00pm.
