Arthur Burnette, age 84 of Smyrna died Sunday March 12, 2017. He was a native of Pikeville KY and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Burnette; parents, Alonzo Curtis and Daisy Steele Burnett, brother, Paul Burnett. Mr. Burnette was retired from New York Telephone and Bell South. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church.

Mr. Burnette is survived by his children; Arthur Burnette and wife Donna of Texas, Barbara Pierce and husband David of Smyrna; grandchildren, Christopher Burnette, Jessica Burnette, Craig Burnette, David Pierce, Brenda Pierce; great-granddaughter, Kristen Pierce; sisters, Ruby Lee of Kentucky, Jonell Luck of Kentucky, Elizabeth Charbonneau of Kentucky Virgie Roberts of Lewisburg, Rita Tibbs of Kentucky; brothers, Jack Burnett, of New York, Hatler Burnett of Kentucky, Steve Burnett of NewYork, Dwight Burnett of Kentucky, Ricky Burnett, of Kentucky.

Funeral Mass will be 1:00PM Thursday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Father Jacob Dio will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12 Noon until 7:00PM Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. www.woodfinchapel.com
