Art MacLean, age 67, of Smyrna, TN passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate. Mr. MacLean is survived by his daughter, Jamie Bercich and her husband Pete of Murfreesboro; sons, Nathan MacLean and his wife Kelly of Murfreesboro, and Jim Thelen and his wife Kara of Bath, Maine; seven grandchildren, Ella MacLean and Kayleigh Denise Bercich of Murfreesboro, and Michael, Finn, Caroline, Charlie, and Petra Thelen all of Bath, Maine; and two sisters, Kathy Slocum and her husband Marshall and Pat Vidakovich and her husband Mickey all of Cape Cod, Mass. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruth Margaret Sutherland MacLean and his loving wife, Denise Jean Quamby MacLean who died in 2013. Mr. MacLean was a native of Melrose, Massachusetts, grew up in Michigan, and a longtime resident of Smyrna. He was a retired department manager of Inventory Control with Nissan. Art enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans and Michigan State Spartans. He was a proud grandfather and loved his family very much. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
