Obituary

ARNOLD A. FLYNN age 86 of Murfreesboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday February 11, 2012. A native of Alpena, Michigan, he was the son of the late Howard and Beulah Houghton Flynn. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at St. Marks United Methodist Church 1267 North Rutherford Boulevard. Reverend Susan Padgett will be assisted by Dr. Craig Goff and Dr. Jim Clardy. Burial will follow with full military rites at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Panknin Flynn, daughter Toni (Sharrell) Fowler of VA., sons Michael (Olivia) Flynn of TX., Patrick (Terri) Flynn of Lawrenceburg, TN., 9 Grandchildren, Christy (Chris) Monnin, Ryan Flynn, Michael (Kaeleah) Flynn, Jamie Flynn, Evan Flynn, Elena Fowler, Kerry Fowler, Maggie Philpot, Laine Philpot, his 3 Great Grand-Children, Kaitlyn, Allison, Toby, and one Brother Clarence Flynn of FL. He was preceded in death by two Sisters, Eunice Merritt, and Barbara Robbins, and a Brother Warren Flynn. Mr. Flynn retired from the United States Air Force with 30 years of service, and was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church since 1962. Visitation will be 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Marks Building Fund.
