Arlayne Golas, age 85 of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died Sunday, September 11, 2016. She was a native of Baltimore and the daughter of the late Luther Clay and Bertha May Barrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Louis Golas.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Golas Hall and husband Alan of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jeremy Hall and wife Rachel of Woodbury, TN and Kristin Hall and husband Lonnie Wilkerson of Nashville, TN; two great-granddaughters, Abigail Hall and Harper Wilkerson.

She attended St. Ambrose Elementary and Mount St. Agnes High School, both in Baltimore. A Catholic, she attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in Towson, Maryland.

She was a repair operator at South Central Bell telephone company and worked at Greetings and Readings in Towson.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who made the best crab cakes, according to everyone who ate them. She was a longtime supporter of the Humane Society of the United States and never turned away a stray cat.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
