Anthony Matthew Zane, age 79, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Utica, NY passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born in Utica, NY on February 26, 1939 to the late Anthony Francis Zane and Alice Pepperine Zane.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Fran Battaglia Zane of Murfreesboro, TN, daughter, Alison Cleaves of Nolensville, TN, brothers, Robert Zane of Utica, NY, Joseph Zane and his wife Nancy of Ballston Spa, NY, and grandchildren, Charlotte and Sophia Cleaves.

Mr. Zane was attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was a retired educator. He taught biology and chemistry and was also a Principle before he retired.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
