Anthony S. "Tony" Burnett

Anthony S. “Tony” Burnett, age 69 of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Benjamin Feddie Burnett and Emma Frances Lynch Burnett. Tony was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Burnett; sisters, Kay Bryson, Hazel Mitchum, and Joyce Strader.

Tony is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa Lannom Burnett; son, Thomas Burnett of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Ethan and Corbin Burnett of Mt. Juliet, TN; brothers, Jerry Burnett of Smyrna, TN, and Don Burnett and his wife Donna of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Shirley Davis of Smyrna, TN, and Linda Harris of the Deason Community; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Lannom Cemetery in the Fellowship Community, with Rev. Chris Harris and Brother Jonathan Pfensten officiating. Burial will follow in the Lannom Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Tony was a member of the Hobson Pike Baptist Church and retired from Nissan in Smyrna, TN.
