Anthony Adams

Anthony Allan Adams, 53, of Readyville, TN passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

“Mr. Anthony” was born in Murfreesboro to Andy and Dotty Adams. A 1992 graduate of Oakland High School, he later earned his bachelor’s degree from Madison University. Anthony followed his passion by building and operating his own excavation company. He believed a person’s word mattered, and he lived that belief every day. His honesty, work ethic, and quiet integrity earned the trust and respect of everyone who knew him.

He loved working on the farm alongside his boys and his Uncle Fred, water skiing at the lake, playing pickleball, and being around family and friends. His youth was spent on the basketball and tennis courts with his dad and brother. Anthony never met a stranger. His easy smile, generous spirit, and unforgettable hugs made people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. He had a remarkable gift for turning strangers instantly into friends and friends into family.

Above all, Anthony loved his family. Anthony’s greatest accomplishments were being a devoted husband, proud father, cherished son, beloved brother, grandfather, uncle, and loyal friend. The relationships he built and the memories he created will always be his greatest legacy. Anthony’s faith in Christ quietly shaped the way he lived. It was reflected in his humility, his generosity, his devotion to his family, and the genuine love he showed to others.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Julie Williams Adams; his children, Taylor Adams Hornsby, Ethan Bryant Adams, Charles Grant Adams, and Tripp Hudson Adams; his grandchildren, Liam and Brooks Hornsby; his mother, Dotty Bryant Adams; his father, Andy Adams and his wife Karen; his sister, Andrea Adams Brown and her husband David; his brother, Andrew Adams and his wife Dara; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, treasured friends; and his faithful current and past dog companions, Lula, Chief, Goose, Scout, and Abby.

Though his life ended far too soon, Anthony leaves behind a legacy of hard work, steadfast love, kindness, loyalty, and faith. His absence will be deeply felt, but his example will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at North Boulevard Church of Christ. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at North Boulevard Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
