ANNIE MAE HOLLAND RAY, age 84 of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Sunday October 5, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was born in Tuscumbia, Ala. and was the daughter of the late Emmett & Edna Litton Holland. She is survived by her daughter, Kathi Fortenberry and her husband, Ron; son, William Gordon Ray, Jr, Colorado Springs, Col.; sisters, Doris Childress and Sherry McKenna of Memphis, Tn.; step brother, Kenneth of Memphis; nephew Steven Scheer; sister in law, Nancy Wilbanks; grandchildren, Adrienne (Brian) Barnett, William Gordon Ray, III, Alicia Brianne Ray, Rebecca Mallory Ray; great grandchildren, Paul Drake Williams, Andrew Walker Barnett and Molly Belle McKibben Barnett. Funeral services 10:30 am Thursday at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with Matt Greathouse officiating. Burial will follow at 1 pm at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the family 5-7 pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Ray was married to the late William Ray who died in 2004.
