ANNETTE ADAMS SAVAGE, age 79 of Murfreesboro passed away Tuesday December 15, 2009. She was a native of Garfield Georgia and was a long time resident of Pacolet and Spartanburg, SC. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas Arnold Savage, Jr.; parents, Ira Dervis and Maggie Lee Ellington Adams. She is survived by daughter Pat Hercules and her husband, Brian of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Michael Perdue of Georgia and Stuart Savage Jones of Alabama; great-grandson, Jakob Douglas Jones; brothers, Robert and Joe Adams; sister, Ellen Crow; four half-brothers, Paul, Todd, Joel and Mark Adams all of Florida, and many nieces and nephews of whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Savage was a buyer for JC Penneys retail stores, and worked at many boutiques. She was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Spartanburg SC.A devoted wife and mother, she exuded a quiet strength of character and was the epitome of what it means to be a lady. Deeply loved and respected, many lives have been touched by her gentle ways. She will be greatly missed.
