Annette Melton Estes, age 93, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at home. She was retired from teaching school after 30 years. The last 20 years, she taught at Auburn High School, Auburntown, TN. Mrs. Estes was a member of Milton Church of Christ, and was a native of Cannon County and a long- time resident of the Milton Community. Mrs. Estes was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Lena Melton and her husband, Alvie Williams Estes. Mrs. Estes is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Melvin Floyd of Milton, TN; grandchildren, Mark Floyd of Rockvale, TN, and Melissa Floyd Pipkin of Milton, TN; great grandchildren, Amanda Pipkin of Rockvale, TN, Will and Keaton Pipkin of Milton, TN; sisters-in-law, Irene Frisbee of Cleveland, TN, Jean Davis of Huntsville, AL, and Sue (Raul) Santa Ana of Charleston, SC; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2014, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Milton Church of Christ, and Friday November 7, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon with funeral service following at 12:00 Noon at Milton Church Christ, with Teb Batey officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury, TN, with nephews and friends serving as pallbearers.
