Anne Marie Booten, 89, passed  away Friday, September 22, 2017, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.   Mrs. Booten was born in Youngstown, OH,  She later moved to Barboursville, WV, where she was an educator for 30 years.  Upon her retirement, she fulfilled her dream of  traveling the world.  She then moved to Murfreesboro where she has been a resident for the last 29 years.  She was a long-time member of  St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wellington Booten; her mother, Mary Jane Nagy; her father, Demosthenes Michael Zirunis; and her step-father, John Ursula.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Booten (Karen) and Dan Booten; her grandsons, Brandon  Booten (April), Adam Booten (Lane), and Alex Booten (Rachel); her granddaughter, Meredith Booten; and her great-grandchildren, Bennett, Wells, Willa Kate, and Rosie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Rose of  Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro.  Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Adams Place and St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of  Mrs. Booten may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church,   PAWS, or the Down Syndrome Association of  Middle Tennessee.
