DR. ANNA M. BURFORD, age 83 of Murfreesboro died Thursday, January 06, 2011. She was a native of Glasgow, KY and the daughter of the late Ollis and Pearlie Quinn Burford. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hardin T. Burford. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. John Risse will officiate. Graveside service 11:00am Monday at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery in Glasgow, KY. She is survived by her brother, Alwin B. Burford and his wife Joyce of Bowling Green, KY, sister, Seva Lee Burford of Murfreesboro, TN, nephews, Danny Burford and Kevin Burford, and nieces, Kim Clayton and Krista Staples. Dr. Burford was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. She taught at Morehead State University, Western Kentucky University and from 1981 until her retirement in 2000 at Middle Tennessee State University.
