Anna Lee Allen Davenport, age 88, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Sunnington Assisted Living. A native of Guilford County North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Henry Poole and Myrtle Vickery Hockett. Mrs. Davenport is also preceded in death by two husbands, William Henry Allen and James Allen Davenport and two sisters, Mary H. Allred and Buelah H. Robinette. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Eugene Cotey will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Davenport is survived by her daughter and son in law, Rebecca A. (Robert) Luscinski and son, H. Wayne Allen both of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Russell W. (Suzanna) Allen, Rachel Lee Allen, and Robert W. (Angie) Tucker III; four great grandchildren and two special nieces. Mrs. Davenport was a member at the First Baptist Church and at Northside Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Pleasant Garden High School and High Point Nursing School. She was a retired registered nurse with Baptist Hospital and M.T.M.C. Mrs. Davenport was a charter member and active 50 years with the Garden Lovers Flower Club and also a charter member of the Murfreesboro Doll Club. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and collecting and displaying dolls. Russell Allen, Robert Tucker, Jerry Allen, Mark Allen, Clem Royal, Larry Estes and Ralph Fullerton will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation and to Caris Health Care. The family would like to thank the staff of Sunnington for their loving and wonderful care of Mrs. Davenport. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151
